Premise: A member of the jury for an exposive trial against a gun manufacturer joins forces with a beautiful woman to manipulate the panel. With millions of dollars at stake in the precedent-setting lawsuit, the mysterious jurist finds himself battling a high-priced and ruthless jury "consultant" who will stop at nothing to secure a verdict.

If a film was in limbo for nearly six years, what would you say about it chances of making it into production? Not good, you would probably say. Well, what if it went through three directors, four screenwriters and several key star departures? Pretty slim, huh? Start eating your words now as Runaway Jury has defied most conventional theories in Hollywood. The film, based on the novel by John Grisham, has had a pretty tough road. Jury originally started out in 1997 as a Warner Brothers production with Joel Schumacher directing Ed Norton, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Sean Connery in a film about a court case involving the tobacco industry. Flash forward to 2003 ....
