Ivan the Terrible by S. Eisenstein

.Is there anyone who can give me very detailed information about this film? I especially need to know on which kind of color film the second part is made off and which technologies were used in russian laboratories back then and which kind of cutting desk Eisentein used!

Besides those technical issues it would be nice if someone has watched this movie and likes to discuss it.

I still consider it a great piece of work which was made under extreme ideological conditions and reflects very well although covered under some propagandistic layers the weakness of tzar Ivan who is often compared to Stalin.Is there anyone who can give me very detailed information about this film?
