Thanks Oscar (and Chris via email), I think it's gone. If not can you post a link. There has been an onslaught of "fake" registrations that are conducted automatically by spammers and then post automatically. So, Ive had to temporarily set up the registration so that I have to approve users before they are "real" members and can post. Hate to do it because it will slow down new users who want to post right away but dont know what other options there are... Anyway, thanks again and let me know if you see anything fishy.

    Best,
    Peter

I fired off some e-mails to the new "members".

I think it was one guy- everytime I looked at the profile it had the same birthdate and some link to a spam site.

everytime a new handle appeared I e-mailed them.
I used some of my *charm* to dissuade any crap they might post.

    Thanks P.

thanks J, that's a good approach. hope he backs off whoever he is...

painting is going well. I'll send along some images when I can. Im knee deep in gradschool applicatios for 2007. What a drag. But it keeps me painting which is nice. Hope your ny trip was rad, and congrats on the hendrix bootleg. I would not dare ask you for it, because it seems best heard in the presence of he who keeps the precious bounty, but perhaps on a trip to the north country.

    re: Jimi

I'm not over-hyping the Hendrix bootleg when I say it's the greatest live CD I own.

When I do write the "review" I'll try my damnest to convey what exact exhaltation this music is.

You've all heard "Foxy Lady", "Red House" and "Let Me Stand Next to Your Fire", but not like this.

Not with these arrangements. No sir. Not at all.

New York was giant city no time for me.
It was like OZ man! I did get some good photos for my website.

I had to cut it short because my security license came in just when they had an opening for the Food and Wine fest.

It's the biggest party in Ottawa- every year thousands come to the Congress Centre for this massive summit on food and wine.

It's a colossal social event; with many hot debutantes...

I was the one who stamped all of the hands to gain entry.
(and the one telling everyone over and over that booze was not allowed on the patio).

Do you have an audio cassette player?
I can make you a tape...

My friend at the record store told me that he was in the second row for that show.

And also that he wasn't sure, but he thinks that it was being recorded by a local radio station.

The best thing on the whole disc is a 10 minute epic called
TAX FREE, and it's the main reason why I say this disc is the greatest live CD I got.

Jimi is literally calling on the Sonic Gods of the Muthafuckn' Electric Church. Mitch and Noel are right there with him, all three pushing each other to levels of musical mastery you've never heard.

    Track it down dear reader

Thanks Peter. Seems like a good solution. Would it be possible to delete the existing "bad posts"?

A minor issue. For some reason the birthdate on my profile changed to 12/31/69. My edit profile page has it right: 3/12/61. I can't manage to make the correction.

Oscar, I dont see the offending posts. Can you direct me to them? I'll take a look at your birthday. My guess is that because of youre avid participation the server has given you 8 years of life back. It's a strange space-time warp that few people know about...keep it on the dl.

Damn! I'm even growing hair on my head again :))
Bravo, the offending posts are no longer there!
It's just that in the home page, section:"In Theatres Now". It appears that the offending posts are the last posts. So I thought these posts had not been deleted.
    Thanks.
