I've just come by chance upon s a Jerusalem Post article from Oct. 30, 2017 by Hannah Brown highly favorable to Foxtrot that describes the uninformed attacks on the film by Miri Regev, the Israeli culture and sport minister, leading to the film's acquiring a wider audience in Israel. It's a small country. It also may be becoming increasingly jingoistic. This makes Foxtrot's writer-director Samuel Moaz braver or more foolhardy than non-Israelis might otherwise realize.
