A 38-year-old woman chicken farmer (Esther Liu) goes on a dating app to find romance and a mate, using the moniker Salli, and winds up having an adventurous and romantic trip to Paris and returning a different person, yet one content to be who she always was. A Taiwanese-French co-production. Justin Lin plays the younger brother.

Salli 莎莉, 106 mins., debuted at Busan Oct. 5, 2023., and was also featured at Taipei Golden Horse, Göteborg, Osaka, Singapore, LA (Asian Pacific) and Taipei. Screened for this review as part of the 2024 NYAFF (Jul. 12-28).
