WINTER IN SOKCHO/HIVER À SOKCHO (Koya Kamura 2024)

A young Korean woman (newcomer Bella Kim) whose French father vanished before she was born has a memorable but frustrating encounter with a famous French comic book artist (played by Roschdy Zem) who visits the lodge where he visits out of season looking for inspiration. Based on a novel, this seems more a mood piece than a story, but may linger in the mind. Both the director and book author are Asian-French.
